Help the Three Oaks Spokes!
The Three Oaks Spokes Bicycle Club, a volunteer-run non-profit, was established in 1974 to promote and encourage cycling in Southwest Michigan/Northwest Indiana. From that came the development and wayfinding for the Backroads Bikeways bicycle routes, now totaling 20 routes. In 1984 the Three Oaks Bicycle Museum and Information Center was established, which is now housed in the Dewey Cannon Trading Co. (DCTC).
Due to the current lack of bike rentals, visitor donations and the cancelation of our annual and largest fundraiser, the Apple Cider Century, we are in need of additional funds for the fiscal year.
We hope to raise $50,000 to continue the services we have been able to offer both locals and visitors alike for over 35 years. Any donations received will allow us to continue to house and retain ownership of the Bicycle Museum artifacts and keep the DCTC/Information Center/Bike Rentals up and running. In addition, this location is also the warehouse for and a major component of the Apple Cider Century bike tour.
The Three Oaks Spokes would love to continue to promote cycling for years to come as well as support the Harbor Country area through club rides and activities, Backroads Bikeways bike routes, and community engagement through the Apple Cider Century.
We know that this is a difficult time for everyone right now. At no time did we think we would need to set up a GoFundMe, but here we are. Please know that all donations and shares are greatly appreciated! Keep riding!
